Privacy and Safeguarding Notice
This notice explains how Disciple Global uses learner information and the boundaries that apply to mentoring, formation, and course participation.
Information we collect
Registration may collect your name, date of birth, sex, email address, phone number, postal address, country, church affiliation, professional background, and requested account role. For a learner under 18, we also collect the parent or guardian’s name, email address, relationship, and the learner’s self-attestation that authorization was given. During participation we also store cohort membership, course access, progress, assessment submissions, feedback, attendance-related activity, and messages sent through the learning platform.
How information is used
We use this information to create and secure accounts, place learners in appropriate cohorts, assign Leaders and Mentors, deliver courses, monitor progress, provide feedback, communicate schedule changes, support learners, and maintain the safety and integrity of the learning community.
Who can access learning information
Access is limited by role. Assigned Leaders, Teachers, and Mentors can see information needed for their educational responsibilities. LMS Administrators and authorized safeguarding administrators can access records required for operations, support, safety review, and incident response. Hosting, email, and LMS service providers process information only to operate the platform.
Mentoring confidentiality and safety
Mentoring messages are confidential, but they are not visible only to the student and Mentor. They may also be accessed by authorized safeguarding or LMS administrators when necessary for platform support, supervision, safety concerns, or legal obligations. The LMS is not an emergency, medical, mental-health, legal, or crisis service. Contact local emergency or safeguarding services when immediate help is required.
Learners under 18
A learner under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian review and authorize registration and participation before submitting the form. Guardians should understand the course, communication, mentoring, and safeguarding arrangements. Disciple Global may request evidence of authorization or pause access until authorization is confirmed.
Retention and your choices
Records are retained only as long as reasonably required for learning delivery, safeguarding, reporting, account support, and applicable legal responsibilities. You may ask to review, correct, export, or delete eligible personal information. Some records may need to be retained for safety, legal, or operational reasons.
